Recent advances in measurement technology allow us to collect a wealth of data on individual patients, which may help us to understand the underlying pathology, to improve treatment decision making, or to improve gait directly by advanced gait training methods or robotic devices.
During the meeting, these advanced measuring technologies will be addressed in the pre-conference hands-on workshops, the Motor learning and Gait training seminar, as well as during the main conference Keynotes.
Just advanced measuring will not help us much, if we do not also improve the way we interpret and combine these data during the clinical reasoning process. How should we come from our movement analysis data to treatment decisions? This topic will be addressed during the preconference Seminar on Clinical Reasoning.
Furthermore, we encourage participants to submit abstracts related to this topic. We like to include special oral and poster sessions at the main congress, either focusing on novel clinical reasoning methods, or describing clinical case studies in which the treatment decision making or evaluation was challenging or novel.
